AB246/SB167 Would Remove Penalties for Marijuana Possession up to 25 Grams; 2 Plants
MADISON, WI — Lawmakers in both chambers of the Wisconsin State Legislature have introduced joint legislation aimed at removing penalties for possessing small amounts of marijuana.
In the Assembly, Rep. Mandela Barnes (D-Milwaukee) has introduced Assembly Bill 246, and Sen. Chris Larson (D-Milwaukee) has filed companion legislation Senate Bill 167 in the Senate. The twin bills have 14 additional co-sponsors, all Democrats.
